I tried the Original Bacon Cheeseburger pizza due to a recommendation by a friend. It was delicious!! The sauce is what makes it so good I think. The cinnamon sticks are also to die for. I never order here for dine-in. Always delivery. The drivers are always polite and it doesn't take very long to get my food. It is one of my absolute favorite pizzas!

Although Valentinos is by no means the best restaurant in Sioux Falls, I would certainly give them 5 stars when considering what they are - a pizza/Italian buffet. We have been there several times and they exceed expectations every time. Their pizza is very good. They have creative topping combinations, good crust, and a good selection to choose from. Their salad bar is top notch. They have a decent assortment of items to pick from, always good quality (ingredients always seem fresh and kept properly cold), and their house creamy Italian dressing is super delicious. They also have a number of other items on the buffet - soups, pastas, chicken, and some vegetables. Although the pasta sometimes does suffer from the drying-out that always happens to noodles on buffets, everything else is always very good (especially their Mexican Corn Chowder). Finally, you definitely will not find better service anywhere else. Everyone, from managers to hostesses to other staff members, always appears happy to be there and it shows in how they take care of their guests. It is always a pleasant experience and we are always happy to go there.

Reviewing buffet: not so family friendly. 2 adults and 2 kids under 8 years old, with 4 waters was $37. There was a sub par lasagna. Meatballs were out of the bag. Meat sauce was bland. Lots of options for the salad bar, however not at all for the other items people normally pay good money for and honestly the reason they are going there in the first place. Two naked pastas available. No manicotti no chicken alfredo. Fried chicken and mashed potatoes?? Only in the Midwest. Oh yeah did I mention I paid 37 dollars. Frankly the owners are throwing around the phrase "grand Italian buffett" quite loosely. I can always tell when restaurants use short cuts and unfortunately this the case. The only reason they are making money is because they are on 41st street and the recognition and familia tradition of being around since "I was a little kid and always went here." Etc etc. Boring people like boring food.

It's kind of like a marriage between Pizza Ranch and Olive Garden, except the quality falls below both of those places, and that says a lot. The food was just not appealing. I tried several kinds of pastas and wasn't a fan of any of them. Furthermore, the restaurant itself was a little raggedy and uninspiring.

As an admitted connoisseur of pizza buffets, I was very impressed with this one. We arrived around dinner time on a Saturday night with a group of nearly 20 high schoolers in town for a sports competition. The Olive Garden down the street was packed with a 90 minute wait, so I was sent to scout out other possibilities. This was the first place I drove past, so I sent word to send the rest of the group here. I say all that because if you're looking for a taste of Italy or some authentic Chicago-style pizza, this isn't the place. But if you want a low price for a lot of decent food, it certainly fits the bill. There was a huge selection, even by pizza buffet standards. The staff couldn't have been nicer. (We weren't the only sports team there, but they handled the big crowds with a smile.) It's certainly at the top of our list of places to go with a group when we're in Sioux Falls!

Valentino's is a standard issue pizza buffet restaurant that has been in Sioux Falls as long as I can remember, and I don't think it's gone through more than one renovation in my 22 years. The food is passable, but you can get better, fresher food if you have time. That is one nice thing about this place. You can eat quickly for $7 or so on a short lunch break.
